Why become a member?
With over 1400 members and over 20 committees, the Utrecht History Study Society has a great deal to offer its members. Every year, a wide range of events are organised. For example, the UHSK arranges many study-related activities such as exam training, field trips and information sessions about international study programmes and work placements. Of course, there are also plenty of parties and drinks receptions where you can get to know your fellow History students better. In short, the UHSK is for everyone. Online account
UHSK members can log in to the website's special members' section. In this section, you can find a database of work placement positions and job openings that could be relevant to History students. Besides that you sign up for events via the website of find the photos of an event afterwards!
Discounts on textbooks
The UHSK has a partnership with Studystore. As a result, you can order your textbooks through the UHSK. Our members receive special discount rates on these textbooks.
(Online) Membership card
UHSK members can use their membership card to get discounts in a number of places in Utrecht.
Membership fee
The contribution for UHSK membership was set at €20 per year by the General Assembly since the academic year 2020-2021. Membership must be cancelled via this website, by post or email before September 1st of the new academic year, otherwise the membership will be valid for the entire academic year. After you cancelled your membership your authorisation will be withdrawn and there will not be any money deducted from your bank account.
