Want to study History?
The History Bachelor’s programme has been rated positively multiple times. The quality of education is high, the teachers are concerned with their students and the seminars are profound and thorough. The Keuzegids Bachelor’s Selection Guide 2017 ranked the History programme as the best in the field in the Netherlands. Moreover, in Utrecht it is possible to dig deeper into a certain subject by means of the specialisation you choose. The students really value the possibility to do this specialisation: this way you will have had a coherent programme at the end of your studies. It is also possible to follow the History Bachelor’s programme in Dutch.
Would you like to do a part of your study abroad? Then Utrecht is the place for you! The History programme has a lot of partner universities, for example in London, Prague, Dublin, Vienna, Uppsala and Berlin. Therefore you are also encouraged as a student to study abroad: it is possible to do so within the existing study programme.
Finally, Utrecht is also a lively, ambient city which is perfect for students. The History Department is situated in the historical city centre, just next to the Dom Tower and Janskerkhof. Also, Utrecht offers a wide selection of different study and student associations. Especially for History students there is of course this study association (UHSK), but there are also several other student associations.
