Every year, the UHSK, in collaboration with Utrecht University, organizes the Holocaust Memorial Day at the end of January. Since November 1, 2005, January 27, the day of the liberation of concentration camp Auschwitz, has been an international day of remembrance for the victims of the Holocaust and other genocides.
The organization of this day in Utrecht is in the hands of three students of the UHSK, who together form the Holocaust Memorial Day committee. Would you like to contribute to the organization of this important day of remembrance? Then we look forward to receiving your application.
Applications for the committee are made by email. You can send an email to this address: holocaustmemorialday@uhsk.nl before June 1, 2025. You will then receive an answer from us as soon as possible and the committee will be formed in the first week of June.
In the application we would like to read why you would like to take on the organization of the Holocaust Memorial Day next year, whether you have previous experience with organizational tasks and whether you have perhaps already thought about a theme for the commemoration of January 2026.
